ESV. JOY OLUFUNMILAYO AWE-Director, Land Services

Esv. Joy Awe is a 1988 graduate of Estate Management from the University of Lagos, Akoka.

After a brief work experience with a private Estate firm, she joined the employment of Lagos State Government on the 2nd October 1990 as Valuation Officer II in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. Thus, she had the privilege of working in many Local Governments as Valuation Officer, some of which are: Ikeja, Kosofe, Somolu. Lagos Island, Eti-Osa, Apapa, MosanOkunola and Mushin Local Governments between 1991 and year 2005. She also was part of the Project Monitoring team on all of Lagos State Primary Health Care Centre Rehabilitation project in year 2008- 2009.

After serving for 20 years as a Valuation Officer, she was posted to Directorate of Land Services, as Chief Land Officer. Within the last 10 years, she has received numerous on-the-job training and professional qualifications which prepared her for higher managerial responsibilities.

She became an Associate member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyor and Valuer (NIESV) and also a registered member with Estate Surveyor and Valuer Registration Board (ESVARBON).

Esv. Joy Awe has supervised so many acquisition/ revocation projects and has served as a member of many Ad-Hoc Committees including the Lekki Free Trade Zone Technical Committee and Excision committee.

She was appointed Director Land Services in June 2020.
