Lands Bureau – Lagos State Government
Adebayo was born on 24th June, 1967 into the family of Olayinka- Olowu and Akinpelu Royal Family of Ikorodu.
He attended Ago Ijaye Methodist School in Ebute- Metta, Lagos for his primary Education and proceeded to Premier College, Yaba ( now Jibowu High School, Yaba) Lagos, for his Secondary School Education. After a successful completion of his Secondary School, he was admitted to study Town and Regional Planning at the famous Yaba College of Technology in 1987. He graduated with a second class (Upper Division ) in 1989
In the 1990, he was admitted via direct entry to study Estate Management at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and again graduated with Second Class ( Upper Division) in 1994.
Adebayo served the Nation immediately after graduation and was employed by the Firm of Persianas Property Limited, the initiator and owner of the popular “The Palms Shopping Mall”, Victoria Island, Lagos.
He was admited for a Masters Programme in Construction Management at the University of Lagos in 1998 and graduated with MSC Construction Management in Year 2000.
In the Year 2000, he left the private sector of the economy to join the public sector and was employed by the Lagos State Government as a Land Officer Grade Level 08.
In 2003, he was elected an Associate of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers and in 2004, he got registered with the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria.
In the quest for more knowledge, Olayinka applied and was admitted to study Law at the Universty of Lagos in 2006. He once again graduated with Second Class ( Upper Division) in 2010 and was conferred with LLB. He immediately proceeded to the prestigious Law School in Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012. He applied and obtained his LLM ( Master of Laws) from the same University in 2013.
As an Estate Surveyor and Valuer. olayinka has over 26 years of success and broad based experience in the real estate sector of the economy and the civil service of Lagos State. He has attended several professional institutions and bodies within and outside the State and Country.
He played a major role in the establishment of a one stop Regularisation Directorate in Lands Bureau in 2006. He also played a critical role in the market survey and preparation of Fair Market Value of Land and Building in Lagos State.
He was part of the team that commenced Electronic Certificate of Occupancy in Lagos State. He was also part of the committe set up for the resuscitation of Moribond Schemes in Lagos State. He is a member of the committee on Land Grabbers’ activities in the State. He was given the mandate to create Quality Control Unit at Land Services Directorate of the Bureau and this was the office he managed before his appointment as the Director of Land Regularisation in Land Bureau.
Olayinka Adebayo Wasiu is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, A Fellow of Nigerian Institute of Corporate Mmanagers, Fellow of the Institute of Arbitration, Fellow of the Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuer and member of Nigerian Bar Association.
Olayinka is happily married and blessed with children and grand children.
