Adetokunbo Mulikat Alli-Balogun was born on the 6th of April, 1965 in London, England. Her education started in Adrao Primary School, Victoria Island, Lagos, from where she relocated back to London, at the age of six. She attended South Haring, Haringey Primary School, Green Lanes London, between 1970-1977, and her Secondary School between 1977-1983. She then proceded to the Hornsey High School for Girls, High Gate, London, where she obtained the Certificate of General School Examination in 10 Subjects.
On leaving secondary school, Mulikat proceeded to North London, Holloway Road, London, England in 1983 for her O’Levels. She then attended Holborn Law Tutors in 1985 for her A’ Levels and obtained a degree in Law (LLB) from Wolverhampton University, Wolverhampton, England in 1992.
She graduated from Law School in 1995 and completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the Law Firm of Smith and Ogungbo, Onikan, Lagos Island.
Adetokunbo Mulikat, on completing her Youth Service, worked in the Law Firm of Okiri and Shashore, Moloney Street, Lagos Island, from January, 1997-March 1999 and later in the Law Firm of Ajumogobia and Okeke from March, 1999 – November, 1999.
Mulikat joined the Lagos State Judiciary in October, 14th 1999 as a Magistrate Grade I and has risen through the ranks to the position of Chief Magistrate Grade I working in different capacities between 1999 till date. It was as a Chief Magistrate Grade that she was deployed to the Lands Bureau on 14th July, 2015 as the Registrar of Titles.
Adetokunbo Mulikat, as Head of Department of the Lands Registry, is responsible for registration of all Instruments affecting land. She is also the custodians of all registered Instruments in Land Registry as well as overseeing enforcement and execution of judicial orders in Land Registration.
She oversees the verification of Registered Land through searches, Issuance of Certified True Copies (CTC) of Deeds, C of O, and handling court proceedings, and the State’s official custodian of Registered Title Documents.
Adetokunbo Mulikat has attended several leadership and capacity building training Programmes on Registration of Title Land both in Nigeria and in United Kingdom.
She is a member of the Magistrate Association of Nigeria, Lagos Branch. She is also a member of the Committee on Lagos State Settlement Week (LSW).
Her Hobbies include Playing Badminton, Reading and listening to good music, particularly, Jazz Music.
She is happily married with Children.
